Was excited to fly back to Iowa to complete the Export Tech 2.0 class that I started back in March of this year. What an exciting and challenging course load on Exporting to Global Markets.
CIRAS export growth services, including ExporTech, helps Iowa companies develop a strategic business plan to significantly increase international sales. A statewide network of partners allows CIRAS to connect companies with experts and resources to address their unique business needs. We were so fortunate to be able to network with top notch companies like the US Commercial Services and the IEDA who have already been a huge supporter for our company.
CIRAS approach was:
- Engage with businesses to determine export needs
- Provide tailored education and training on technical import/export topics
- Connect clients with subject matter experts and state/federal resources
- Provide ongoing export strategy implementation support
From 2014 through 2017, the average company assisted by CIRAS through the ExporTech program reported sales growth through exporting of more than $2 million. We hope that our training will align our reported sales growth with these same expectations. We are eager to implement the strategies that we've learned and move further along in the Global Market.
